We can't believe Sam is 3 months! This is the end of the "forth trimester" so it has been fun to see Sam transitioning into a playful and interactive baby. He loves to sit on our laps and look around. He also loves watching what Josh is doing.
Overall Sam is still pretty chill, but he has his moments these days. The last two weeks he has really only wanted to be held, except for naps. He also has been refusing a bottle and sometimes even me feeding him. He gets too tired and then just screams at me instead of eating. Sadly this often happens when we are out, which makes it even harder. He also doesn't like using the cover, because he likes to look at me while he eats. I don't blame him, it is pretty hot and uncomfortable under the cover... He is starting to grab toys more, and be willing to be set down to play. We also pulled out the big swing we used with Josh, and Sam has been enjoying it.
Sam sleeping has been pretty good. He doesn't sleep for quite as long a stretch as Josh did, but he usually does a 3hr nap starting around 7:30, then I put him to bed around 10:30-11pm. He has been making it about 6hrs, then I feed him around 5am and he will sleep another 2 hrs or so. Until this weekend, his daytime naps have been more cat nap like--short and frequent. This weekend he has taken a long nap each day in his crib (!!!).
Sam is very strong! He is great at tummy time and can sit in a tripod for a few seconds before falling on his face. He has no interest in rolling over yet, but hopefully he will start in the next month. We pulled out the bumbo seat and he likes to sit in it while we have dinner.
I started this post a few weeks ago....but now he is sleeping even better (yay!) and rolled from stomach to back one time. He has yet to repeat it, despite being strong :) There is no checkup until 4 months, so we won't have stats until then. Enjoy some pictures of our cute little guy!
